Kent C. Kolbig joined Moses & Singer as an associate in its Business Reorganization, Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice in 2008. Mr. Kolbig’s experience includes representing debtors, creditor committees, secured and unsecured creditors, liquidating agents and potential asset purchasers in all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Prior to joining Moses & Singer, he was an associate in the Litigation and Bankruptcy Groups at Ivey, Barnum & O’Mara located in Greenwich, Connecticut.
After graduating from law school in 2003, Mr. Kolbig served as a law clerk for the Connecticut Superior Court Judicial District of Danbury. During this time, he attended St. John’s University School of Law for his LL.M. in Bankruptcy. While at St. John’s, Mr. Kolbig participated in the Supreme Court Amicus Brief Seminar and co-authored amicus briefs on various bankruptcy law issues filed in the United States Supreme Court and Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits.
